What is driving you? The answer will determine what kind of pain you’re in. There is a specific kind of perfection that we are to strive for, and it’s not without pain, but how painful it is to strive after perfection driven by the whip of selfish gain. It is painful to strive for perfection apart from Christ. Jesus said, “Be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” What did Jesus mean by giving His followers this command?
